Here are some pictures of Peru, of course the usual stuff is also there like Machu Pichu but check out some other stuff that may interest you. Hope this journey makes you want to travel to that wonderful land of the Inca's.
The beautiful landscape of Peru as you drive down from Cusco. The snow capped mountains!
The Salineras salt mines high up in the mountains fed by a tiny stream to create this wonderful scene.
The Rings where the Inca's did farming. Each ring is about 25 feet in width. High tech farming!
The foreigners flock here to get their dose of Inca rituals from the priests! Same reason why people come to India....In search of the unknown!
The main square houses the great Cathedral in Cusco. Place de Aramas!
Cusco by night is full of cobbled roads and excitement.
The terraced farming starts high up in the mountains with the guard towers, etc above!

The mountain in the shape of the God bird Condor which represents the heavens!
In Ollantaytambo the old village is still buzzing. The right side is Temple of sun and the place around.
The entrance to the temple of the Sun in the above place. Check how they built the place. No cement!
The biometric system which allowed you to enter when you kept your fingers in the notches here.
The Biometric reader allowed the rock shown here to raise the door to open above. Advanced entry?
The Kings seat or is it a sundial?
The train which you can see by zoom lenses from Machu Pichu below at Aguas Calliantes!
The Inca's face as seen at the mountain side in Machu Pichu! Recognize it? Turn the picture sideways!
The Sun temple in Machu Pichu.
The Long shot from the other end called the entrance to the Sun temple. In Intipinku!
The classic shot everyone takes to show the forgotten kingdom of Machu Pichu
The furry animal used as livestock called the Alpaca!
The small waterfall just a few kilometres walk from Aguas Callientes on the rail track. Go there!
The only piece of gold left behind by the invaders. History repeats itself just like India!
 The Central square in Lima.
Miraflores beach is not a traditional beach but high up where you can do lot of parasailing etc!
Ruins right in the backyard at Miraflores and other places in Lima. Imagine in Connaught place in Delhi? Or in Dadar in Mumbai!
I hope you like the pictures here. But I shall give detailed stories of the places shown here.

  6. Thank you D.Nambiar for visiting my blog. Yes, I must be privileged to visit that place. I couldn't see the sunrise. But I visited Intipinku, the doorway to Sun temple. Very Beautiful.
