Lord's Delusions!

9:34:00 PMKrishna Rao

Once Krishna was sitting with Rukmini and he told her how much of a weakling He was. He explained to her how much of an inferior person he was comparing to other great Kings who were asking for her hand. Krishna told her how he flew away from Jarasandha to an island kingdom in Dwarka. Hence He is called Ranchod(one who runs away from battlefield). Since I do not have any fixed goals in life, I am called a vagabond by people. I am dallying with so many women hence I am called a man of loose character. Again I have married over 16000 wives, which makes me a perfect vagabond.

I do not have city etiquette hence people think I am a village bumpkin and a shephard.
He went on deriding Himself in her eyes. Krishna's methods are strange since He is the greatest teacher of mankind. He was imparting lessons to Rukmini.
Similarly Dattatreya one day walked out of the river with wild women on his arms and a bottle of liquor. This was again to teach the God's a simple lesson.
Even Shiva went to the palace of Himvan with his team of ghosts and other worldly creatures.
Radha was deluded once by Durvasa muni when she went to give Him food. He looked at her with lustful eyes.
There are various such instances when the Lord deludes in a very strange way all His disciples and devotees.
Now you may ask why does He have to do that way? Isn't there any straight forward method to teach the lessons?
The Vedas and our ancient scriptures are not what you think they are.
Krishna says that you have to understand the essence of what is there in that.
Hence Rukmini after she gets the understanding bows down to the Lord and says to Him-You are not poor or miserable at all. Since you are the master of everything, you own everything though you do not possess anything. Yours is the exalted position of complete detachment so you are not attached to anything. You are the renounced, you can still live in this world and be a part of it. You do not run away from anything since where can the master runaway. Everything is His alone.
This understanding of Rukmini will make us know how the Lord teaches us in diverse ways with His contorted methods.
If anyone can understand Gita simply by reading there would be no true Masters.
If Arjuna could understand Krishna there was no need to have 18 chapters at all. He would know it in the second itself. Similarly Revision of Gita was required many times by Arjuna and others hence we have Uddhav Gita, Anu Gita and so on.
A man does not understand any lesson the first time he is told hence it is repeated time and again. A great teacher emphasis His lessons time and again, repeating them in different ways for the benefit of His students.
