Return Gift

When we were small, we have prayed at the places of worship and asked God for good results in school. Later it was in college and professional institutes. Then it happened to us when we wanted a good job. We shifted to wanting a great love of life and then it was about money, house, children. Then it happened to us when we or someone else became sick. Then it was getting our kids in good schools, education, loans, their marriages, grand children and so on.

This hunger for asking never ends till we die. It is always about asking.
When we have enough, we believe we have to then give it back to society.
We think that we can donate to charity, give free meals and do social service.
The good Lord is keeping tabs on all our needs all the time and what have we offered Him? A kilo of sweets or some little donation, an archana, a visit to shave our heads, some flower garlands and so on. So you think that equation got over when we gave such trivial stuff?
You expect God to understand that. After all, what have you asked for but some trivial stuff whose worth is just a flower garland! If you do someone a favor what is it that you expect from him? Can that someone offer you a flower when you have given that person a very big house or first rank?
We do have a voracious appetite for asking stuff from God and we hope the cool Dude understands us and accepts our small but " significant" gift for His benevolence.
Has it ever happened that you have asked for nothing but have come to wish Him a very good day?
So the next time you visit a place of worship, just go there to worship and stop asking for favors from Him! You are anyway never going to return them in any form so why ask? Just ask for His grace on you and be happy with what He offers without you asking for it.
The Hindu law of Karma states that you will get what you give.
I was wondering if someone offered a million meals for free then they should get them back, right? Now in which life will you eat a million meals back from those whom you have fed in this life? So does it mean that we may have to get the return meals in another million lives? Since I guess all those they have fed may not come back in the same life as the ones who have fed them! Leaves you with a very silly taste in mouth. OMG, I have sanctioned myself a million lives now!!! No liberation for me, hey, that sucks!
Stop asking and trying to be a great soul with your face on every television station.
Maybe you never understood the law of Karma!
