Krishna's Coterie
4:09:00 AMKrishna RaoNow this is a strange title for a blog you may say but carry on and read it to know more.
The list of people associated with Krishna were diverse.
A mother who was not a mother. A father who was a distant relative.
The nanny who wanted to kill the child with poisoned milk.
Friends who were mere cowherds and milkmen and women.
Women who were old enough to be His grandmothers who loved Him.
Married women who cared two hoots for the society and ran after Him.
A married lover who would moon over a bumble bee instead of Him.
A friend who hid food and eatables from Him.
An enemy whom he let go 18 times before killing him.
An ardent voyeur and a blatant liar.
A prostitute whom He satiated.
Elderly saintly people who considered Him to be full of bull.
A friend who never could grasp the meaning of His discourses.
A relative who drunk himself to death.
Women who wanted to marry Him for the sake of vengeance and did.
Partners in marriage who were half or more in age.
When you look at the list it is as diverse as any phone book.
So what do you make of Him?
Every word in the dictionary would suit Him from the worst to the best.
He describes Himself as the epitome of all that is there in this world.
So if He is who He is then can any one word describe Him at all.
His lovers called Him liar and cheat and yet they loved Him beyond eternity.
Yet no one can be like Him in any way.
To call Him an enigma would be still incomplete.
No words can describe Him ever.
He loves everyone including His enemies. No one is outside His ambit of love.
He partakes of the offerings even of the worst of sinners and saints.
His love is incomparable and can never be contained.
His idea of offering is as good as what you can give. Even a leaf would do.
He goes to the house of those who welcome Him.
When you want to contain His love, you will suffer yourself.
He reflects all that you show Him. A thousand times.
So the next time when you show anger or hurt, just know it reflects a thousand times in Him.
Its what you offer is what you get.
Offer Him your love and He will forever offer you Himself.
