Do You Know Your Parents?

3:07:00 AMKrishna Rao

I am reminded of dialogues from Hindi films which asked-"Tumhara baap kaun hai?"
Or Shashi Kapoor saying,"Mere paas Maa hai!"
Or "Main lawaris hoon!"
Of course in ancient times till recent times you could tell who your parents were but now things have changed and we never could have guessed that.
Today there are sperm banks and egg banks and wombs on hire so even if you are a hi flying or jetsetter you can have a baby and you need not go through any pain yourself except that of proving to some authority that you can take care of that lawaris child.
So now the question arises-Who is your mother or father?
Can the one who donates the egg be your mother or the one who gives birth after hiring out the womb? Or the one who takes care of you after you are born or the one who adopts you legally?
Now the next question is even more perplexing-Who is your father?
We have entered a yuga where you will have no clue to the antecedents of your own birth.
Sabhi dhoonte reh jayenge.
You need not get married to have a child, neither do you have to have opposite sex marriages also.
You can be living alone or with host of people, have a live in relationship, same sex relationship or whatever and still can have a child who can call you by whatever name including an ATM.
Krsna had already mentioned about this thousands of years ago where the relationship between two people cannot be defined.
You can never call anyone your son or dad or mother or grand mother now an in the future.
So what will you call yourself now that you do not know your parents or any other relations?
Alone and lonely and having no true relatives or relations to call your own.
The only one true relationship that you can ever have will be with God alone.
That too if you believe in Him.
He can be your true father, mother, brother, sister, grand father or any other.
So it is imperative to know only yourself.
The true Self and no one else.
Atleast you can believe in that.
